Is Anthropic going to fail spectacualrly?
Meta is preparing to release Muse Spark 2.0, while Chinese models are already flooding the market.
Inference costs will keep collapsing. Tokens will become dirt cheap, and “good enough” models will satisfy the majority of enterprise use cases.
Anthropic also has no intention of building an advertising business.
So why would customers continue paying a massive premium for a model that is only marginally better?
What is the actual long-term path forward?

2 commentsMeta beating Anthropic? 🤣 That’s a take. Feels like the same energy as “VR will replace smartphones” or “Portal will beat Alexa.” If you said GPT or Grok, I’d at least hear the case. Meta winning the frontier AI race? That’s a stretch.
You might be right, but the real risk isn’t cheap Chinese models. The bigger threat is if frontier models stop advancing. No company wants to fall behind by relying on outdated technology while competitors are leveraging the latest breakthroughs.
